Many people consider their pets part of the family-and with good reason. Pets can live with us for several years and are always there to meet us after a long day. While you probably pamper your pet throughout the year, it can be fun to give them a special indulgence on their birthday. Here are a few suggestions:
~Pet Beds – fancy dog beds or luxury cat beds are sure to please your animal friends, providing comfort and warmth.
~Chews and Treats – these goodies are great for dogs or cats as a reprieve from their usual food regimen.
~Pet Apparel – though your cat won’t like wearing clothes, dogs love to keep warm and be the center of attention with a new sweater, dress, or t-shirt!
~Squeakies and Noise Makers – though they’ll probably drive you insane, your pet is sure to love a noisy toy to attract the attention of the whole household.
I know that dogs are designated man’s best friend, but my brother takes the canine-owner relationship to a completely new level. Some people may be satisfied to purchase a simple doghouse and bed for their canine companion, but not him. Since he’s living the bachelor life, he has transformed the extra bedroom in his condo into a sanctuary for his pooch.
The room is outfitted with a variety an assortment of dog décor, and there is even an automatic feeder setup in one of the corners. His dog doesn’t simply have a dog bed, but there are several pieces of specialized dog furniture, including a dog couch and sofa. My brother thinks that these accommodations for his dog are normal, but I’ve suggested scaling it back a little if he ever wants to stop being a bachelor.
